My grandmother used to say that cooking is an opportunity to share your love, happiness. When she poured honey syrup over baklava, she whispered: "May all those whose bitterness of heart exceeds sweetness have a change of fate for the better." When she sprinkled thyme on hot pilaf from Bulgur, she closed her eyes and continued: 'May this thyme bring peace to those who have lost it.' Food brings happiness only when it is cooked with a soul. This daily and, at first glance, ordinary process is an additional chance for each of us to feel the real taste of life.
